the learning center
The Learning Center is located in OLB 121 and offers tutorial services in math and writing, workshops, and individualized one credit remedial courses for all MSC students.
writing & math tutors
The writing tutors provide individual tutorials for all English classes, and in writing for all other disciplines. Appointments may be made to meet with a writing tutor during certain hours. Appointments are limited to 30 minutes. During other times tutors are available on a walk-in basis only.

The math tutors offer tutoring for all math and business classes. Math tutors are available on a walk-in basis only.
Fees
A one time fee of $5 per semester is assessed for use of all Learning Center facilities and workshops. These fees are attached to Preparatory courses, 100 and 200 level composition courses, 100 and 200 level math courses, and some 100 and 200 level social science classes.
Schedules
A schedule of hours and individual tutors’ schedules is posted in the Learning Center and on various campus bulletin boards during the 1st week of each semester. The Learning Center also offers computer use and a variety of learning materials.
