UA Scholar Program

The UA Scholars Program is a scholarship program through the University of Alaska  which offers a $12,000 scholarship to the top 10 percent of the graduates from qualified Alaskan high schools each year. Once enrolled, the Scholar will receive $1,500 per semester for eight semesters, provided he or she remains in good standing. This scholarship is valid at any University of Alaska campus, for certificate, associate and bachelor programs.

High schools designate students at the end of their junior year based on their academic standing. Scholars must apply for admission to any UA campuses by May 1st of their senior year in order to reserve their scholarship.

UA Scholar Reception

Every fall, each MAU (UAS, UAA and UAF) host receptions to celebrate UA Scholars and their achievement. UA President Patrick Gamble, the campus Chancellor along with many faculty, staff and Admission Representatives are present to congratulate the Scholars.
