Congratulations on your accomplishment!  We sincerely hope you will participate in the 2009 Matanuska-Susitna College (MSC) commencement to celebrate the achievements of you and your fellow graduating classmates.  MSC and the MSC Student Government Council will host a steak and chicken dinner for all graduates and one guest on Thursday, May 7.  The commencement ceremony will be held on Friday, May 8.

                      

For graduates who wish to have an (optional) individual photograph taken, a professional photographer will be available on the night of graduation to take photos beginning at 6:00 p.m.  An order form with a price list was mailed to all graduates. A group photo, compliments of MSC, will be taken at 6:30 p.m.

 

Following is the time line for graduation activities:

April 6-May 1 Pre-commencement information
  • The deadline to make dinner reservations is May 1 at 4:00 p.m.
• Make reservations for dinner and pick up two free tickets in Student Services.
• Additional dinner tickets may be purchased for $10 each from the MSC Campus Cache.
• Pick up graduation announcements in Student Services (maximum of 10).
April 6-April 17 Pick up cap & gown
  The college has a supply of caps and gowns that you may use free of charge.
Stop by the Student Services office: Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm Friday 9am-5pm. To guarantee that you receive a gown in your size, please pick up your cap and gown by April 17. If you are unable to pick up your gown on any of the above dates, you may call MSC Student Government at 745-9759 to arrange another time for pick up. You can purchase a cap and gown by going to www.shop.jostens.com or calling 907-562-2001.
May 7 Graduates' dinner & rehearsal
  Mat-Su Career & Technical High School (CTHS) Please note this is a location change from last year.
• Dinner is served between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
• Rehearsal begins immediately following dinner.
• CTHS is located at 2472 N Seward Meridian Pkwy
  (off Seldon at the Teeland Middle School Sign)

May 8 Commencement
  Mat-Su Career & Technical High School (CTHS)
• Graduates must arrive by 6:00 p.m. SHARP to have individual and a group photograph taken and to line up for processional.
• Ceremony begins at 7:30 p.m.
• Reception for graduates and guests will immediately follow the ceremony in CTHS Lobby

You may invite as many guests to the commencement ceremony as you wish. Your diploma and photo(s) will be mailed to you by mid-summer.
