Healthcare Career Exploration Academy with ETT Certification

Dates: May 21- June 8, 9-4:30
Campers: Students entering 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade
Note: Students must be 14 years of age by May 28, 2018

Description:  This three-week academy will provide students the opportunity to explore various health related professions through networking with professionals in their respective fields, hands-on activities that provide insight into the daily job responsibilities, and touring medical facilities.  Academy participants will also perform coursework and sit for their Emergency Trauma Technician (ETT) certification at the conclusion of this academy. Academy participants who complete the ETT coursework required will earn 3 college credits and 1 full elective high school credit.

Crime Scene Investigation

Dates: June 4-8, 8:30-noon
           June 25-29, 8:30-noon
Campers: Students entering 6th, 7th, 8th grade

Description:  Did you ever wonder how a hair can solve a crime? Using the tools and techniques forensic scientists use to solve crimes, campers will become investigators.


Discovery Through Experimentation **NEW**

Dates: June 4-8; 1-5pm  
    June 18-22; 1-5pm
Campers: Students entering 6th, 7th, 8th grade

Description: Designed for campers who want to delve deeper into the world of science.  Each day we will answer a new question by utilizing the scientific method to conduct an experiment. For campers who are more science focused. Limited seats available.

Mini-Med School I

Dates: June 11-15, 8:30-noon
Campers: Students entering 6th, 7th, 8th grade

Description: Back by popular demand, in Mini-Med School I, campers will become medical students for a week. They will explore various organ systems such as the skeletal, digestive, and cardiac systems through hands-on animal dissections and engaging activities.


Mini-Med School II

Dates: June 18-22, 8:30-noon
Campers: Students entering 6th, 7th, 8th grade

Description: In Mini-Med School II, campers will continue their exploration of the human body. Campers will explore the nervous, urinary, and muscular systems through hands-on dissections and engaging activities. Mini-Med School I is not a prerequisite for this camp.
