Transfer Students

Mat-Su College | UAA welcomes students with academic credits from other regionally accredited colleges and universities through military educational experiences, approved National exams (College-Level Examination Program, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate) or credit accepted by special approval.

We are committed to making your transition from another institution as seamless as possible.

Application Process

Required Materials for a Complete Application 

  • Application

    Most applicants complete the application in about 15-30 minutes.

    1. Register with an email address and create a password.
    2. Create a profile with basic identification and contact information.
    3. Start an application; select a term, program and provide an academic history.
    4. Electronically sign, pay and submit the application.
    5. Allow 1-3 business days for processing.
  • Application Fee

    Pay a $40 Application Fee (non-refundable)

  • Transcripts

    Your required transcripts will be listed on your portal home page after your submit your application. Log back in to the Application Portal to review your requirements and admission status.

    Submit transcripts:

    Secure Electronic Transcript:

    Transcripts can be sent directly from the issuing institution to UAA Admissions through a secure electronic transcript service. Direct the service to send transcripts to:
    application-documents@uaa.alaska.edu.

     
    • Official Transcripts may be submitted an unopened envelope, sealed by the issuing institution to the campus.
    • Faxed transcripts and test scores are not acceptable for admission purposes.
    • If you attended other University of Alaska campuses, you do not need to submit official transcripts from those institutions.
  • Placement Scores

    Submit ACT, SAT, and Accuplacer or ALEKS scores to Student Services.

Verify Financial Aid

  • Accept your Financial Aid award through UAOnline.  Login to UAOnline using your UA Username and UA Password.
  • If you need assistance navigating Financial Aid or have questions, please call 745-9762 to make an appointment with your Financial Aid Advisor, or stop by Student Services on campus, in the Fred and Sara Machetanz building, room 101A.
