Academic Advising

How to contact your advisor January 4th - 22nd

There are no advising appointments in January, but advisors are available by phone. You can get on a list so we can call you during Same Day Virtual Advising.

Please fill out this 'Mat-Su College Same Day Virtual Advising' form.  An advisor will call you back.

This form is available from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday from January 4-15, and January 19-22, 2021.

Advisors are professional educators here to help you navigate through the university system from beginning to graduation. They meet you at the point where you are entering your educational journey, and assist you in developing pathways for you to achieve your goals. Our advisors are knowledgeable academic guides, coaches, and referral experts that work with you to develop a personalized plan for your success.

If you experience difficulties adjusting to college or encounter a barrier to your success, an academic advisor can work with you to find resources or help you make important academic decisions. They can suggest new strategies to improve your study skills, time management, and test taking abilities.

Please Note:  Due to social distancing recommendations to prevent the spread of coronavirus, academic advising will be conducted through Zoom or telephone.  You can make an appointment with an advisor through the individual link below.  Mat-Su College does not assign advisors.

Please call 907-745-9762 or email uaa_mscinfo@alaska.edu if you have questions.
