An accredited Associate of Arts (AA) Degree from Matanuska-Susitna College results in transferable experience, education, and credits that are valued by employers, colleges, and universities.

The Associate of Arts (AA) degree provides a solid foundation in mathematics, written and oral communication, the natural and social sciences, the humanities and fine arts. The AA degree prepares students for career advancement and baccalaureate programs and to better understand their world.

MSC offers an AA degree in General Studies, or, students planning to pursue a baccalaureate degree, may choose an emphasis in Fine Arts, Humanities, Natural Sciences, or Social Sciences.

The AA degree combines studies in the general education areas of:
