Disability Support

Notice!  Starting this Fall 2025 the MatSu College is moving to use the AIM system for all Faculty Notification letters. This provides a One-Stop-Shop for all your classes.

Begin by:

  1. Logging into your AIM account to request your accommodations. Use yoursingle sign-on (the same credentials you use to gain access to UAOnline, Blackboard or your email). 
  2. In the Box labeled Accommodation Request for FALL 2025 click the plus sign
  3. You will see each of your semester classes - click each one and then the dialog box for ‘Continue to Next Step’
  4. For each class, pick the accommodations that you are wanting
  5. then click ‘Submit Request’
  6. You will receive a courtesy copy of the Faculty Notification Letters once it has been emailed to the Instructor of Record; typically, a few days before the first day of instruction
  7. If, during the semester, you need to revise your accommodation you chose initially for a class, you only need return to AIM to ‘Modify Your Request.’
  8. Remember to: Communicate with your MatSu College professor regarding testing, if appropriate. Schedule any in-person exams you need to be proctored at our campus Learning Resource Center.

 

At Mat-Su College, providing equal opportunities for students who experience disabilities is a campus-wide responsibility and commitment. Student Services/Disability Support Services is the designated Mat-Su College office responsible for coordinating academic support services for an Mat-Su College student who experiences disabilities.

Services include, but are not limited to:
  • American Sign Language interpreters
  • Note-taking assistance
  • Textbooks on tape
  • Large-print text
  • Testing accommodations
  • Adaptive computer technology.
