Biography

I am a veterinarian who has practiced for 28 years. My patients have included dogs, cats, horses, small ruminants, cattle, exotic animals, and some captive wildlife. Prior to being a veterinarian, I worked as a veterinary receptionist, technician, assistant , and kennel staff. I have co-owned and managed a veterinary clinic as well, so there is no job in a veterinary practice that I have not held other than bookkeeper! Even while in private practice, I have always loved passing along knowledge of the veterinary field. Transitioning to this job as a professor has been a wonderful new challenge and I'm proud to be able to be a part of Matanuska Susitna College and UAA!
