Library News and Announcements

The computer lab is open only to UA students who need a computer to access their courses.  All other library services are suspended.  The computer lab is open, but the library's general study areas and physical collections are closed.  We are also unable to fill interlibrary loan requests at this time.

Please stay well and study and research at home:  Access to ebooks and many journal articles is available through Quick Search.  Additional journal articles are available by clicking on the "research guides" link in More Research Tools.  Click on "all guides" then "topic guides" to see a complete list of subjects.  When you click a link to access a database, you will probably be asked for a user name and password.  Those are the same as what you use to access UA Online or Blackboard.  If you need to focus on peer reviewed articles, look for a check box that says "peer reviewed", "refereed", or "scholarly material".

Checking a box that says "limit to full text" can make it harder to find information.  The text of articles that are not available in one database is frequently available in another.  We have a tool that will tell you if another database has the text of an article in it.  Look for the "check library for full text" link.

Reference assistance is available from the "Ask Us" link on the menu for the Library's website.

To our public patrons:  We have had to suspend holds and close to the general public.  We apologize for the inconvenience, and ask for your understanding.  We look forward to being able to serve you again as soon as we possibly can.

For Sale:  Items withdrawn from the library's collection are available for sale for $2.00/each.  See a library staff member for details.  We also have Princeton files available for $2.00.  They are very handy for organizing magazines or similar items.
