Get the skills to start a hands-on, high-demand career in plumbing. Mat-Su College is developing courses in plumbing designed to provide practical training and foundational knowledge for entry-level work in the plumbing trade. Plumbing Codes I
CRN 76401 3 Credits
Delves into the requirements for plumbing drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems. Correlates
these codes with the need to maintain the continued good operation of those systems
and the health and safety of those who build or use those systems. Applies these codes
to the installation of DWV plumbing systems.
Drain,Waste,Vent(DWV)
CRN 76402 3 Credits
Introduces the concepts behind designing drain, waste, and vent plumbing systems.
Explores basic plumbing practices, such as pipe sizing, pipe support, and pressure
testing. Offers instruction in the proper use of tools and materials used in building
and installing DWV systems. Includes instruction in workplace safety and interpreting
building plans.
Plumbing Codes II
CRN 36064 3 Credits
Delves into the requirements for plumbing water and gas distribution systems. Correlates
these codes with the need to maintain the continued proper operation of those systems
and the health and safety of those who build or use those systems. Applies these codes
to the installation of supply piping.
Plumbing: Supply Piping
CRN 36065 3 Credits
Introduces the concepts behind designing water and gas plumbing distribution systems.
Explores basic plumbing practices, such as pipe sizing, pipe support, and pressure
testing. Offers instruction in the proper use of tools and materials used in building
and installing supply piping. Includes instruction in workplace safety and interpreting
building plans.
