Application

To successfully submit your Application you will need the following documents ready to upload.

Essay

Essay must be between 1,000-1,200 words, addressing all of the following topics:

  • Describe a personal experience that has motivated you to pursue a career in veterinary technology.
  • Explain how this experience has influenced your decision and what personal traits you have that will make you a great student for our program.
  • Explain your career goals and how the AAS Veterinary Technology degree will help you achieve them.
  • Explain why you should be selected as a student for this program.

Resume

Submit a resume which includes any work and volunteer experience. Special consideration will be given to both customer service and animal related experience. For information about preparing your resume, contact the Career Development Advisor.

Two Professional References

Applicants will be asked to provide contact information for each person providing a reference. Applicants should ask for letters of reference well in advance to give providers time to write and return letters to you. The strongest references are from academic professors who can attest to your critical thinking and academic abilities AND/OR from supervisors in work, volunteer, or research experiences. *Do not submit references from friends or family members.

*Hours must be completed within the 12 months prior to application. 

 

Please make sure you have all required documents/materials prepared prior to starting application or you may have to start from the beginning. This application form cannot be saved for future re-entry.

 

Interview

Top candidates will be selected for an interview, you will be contacted to schedule a time for the interview.
