Dual Enrollment

Apply

High school (Secondary school) students can take classes at Mat-Su College to begin working towards their college education. There are a few options for attending.

  • Dual Enrollment

A dual enrollment student is one who is simultaneously enrolled in a high school curriculum and also is taking courses at Mat-Su College. Secondary students independently register for regular scheduled university courses and pay tuition and fees, often in agreement with an external funder (e.g. school district, tribal organization, municipality). Course and grade go on permanent university transcript and are transferable across the universities within the UA System or as determined by the receiving institution

  • Career and Technical Education

Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses are offered by agreement between UAA and the Mat-Su Borough School District as a means of promoting career and technical education pathways. Under such an agreement, high school instructors approved by UAA teach college-level classes that are taught in local high schools. CTE dual enrollment students should register for these courses at their high schools. Course and grade go on permanent university transcript and are transferable across the universities within the UA System or as determined by the receiving institution
